Coleman, Lentisco carry Hawks at SBU Invitational

Dani Lentisco won Flight B singles

The Rockhurst women's tennis team competed in the Southwest Baptist Invitational this past weekend in Bolivar, Missouri.

RESULTS

Freshman Ella Coleman won the Flight A singles over SBU's Ghada Dirninger, 6-4, 6-3. Marina Magai and Zuzanna Szmyd both advanced to the semifinals in Flight A. Sofia Valdespino lost in the Flight A quarterfinals.

Lentisco won the Flight B singles over SBU's Leticia Luiz, 3-6, 7-5, 10-7. Maria Baez lost in the semifinals in Flight B. Andrea Dabbah and Cecilia Ulrich fell in the Flight B quarterfinals.

Coleman and Magai captured the doubles championship over RU's Lentisco and Baez, 7-6 (7-3).

The Hawks return to the courts on Oct. 8 at William Jewell.
