Baseball opens conference play at home

Adonis Forte leads the Hawks with 10 stolen bases.
The Rockhurst baseball team begins conference play this weekend against Missouri-St. Louis at Loyola Park. The four-game series has been adjusted due to rain in the forecast with a doubleheader now slated for 3 p.m. Friday., followed by single games at noon on Saturday and Sunday.

The Hawks (4-11) have split their last eight games against Northern State and Parkside. Sophomore center fielder Adonis Forte leads the team with a .375 batting average with nine RBIs and 10 stolen bases.

Rockhurst will then play its next 10 games on the road at Truman State (March 17-19), Fort Hays State (March 21) and Southwest Baptist (March 24-26).
