Baseball hosts McKendree this weekend

Adonis Forte leads the Hawks with 17 stolen bases.
The Rockhurst baseball team returns home to host McKendree in a four-game series at Loyola Park this weekend. The series opens tonight (6:00) followed by a doubleheader at 1 p.m. Saturday and a single game on Sunday at noon.

The Hawks (10-19, 6-6 GLVC) have won four of their last six GLVC games, going 3-1 at both Truman State and Southwest Baptist. Sophomore center fielder Adonis Forte leads the team with a .438 batting average with 19 RBIs, 17 stolen bases and 11 extra-base hits. Freshman left-hander Sawyer Allen leads the pitching staff with three wins and 47 strikeouts.

Rockhurst will then play its next eight conference games on the road at Lewis (April 14-16) and William Jewell (April 21-23) before closing out the regular season at home against Indianapolis (April 28-30) and Quincy (May 5-7).
