Byhre, Brown receive All-GLVC accolades

Rich Byhre is averaging 18.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.
Rockhurst's Rich Byhre and Timaris Brown have earned postseason honors from the Great Lakes Valley Conference, as the league office announced the Men's Basketball postseason awards on Wednesday (March 1).

Byhre earned All-GLVC First Team honors as he ranks first in scoring (18.3), second in rebounding (8.3 pg), 11th in blocks (0.8 pg) and 15th in 3-point field goals made (1.7) in the GLVC. He scored a career-high 37 points against Truman State on Feb. 23.

Brown was named the GLVC All-Freshman Team. The 6-5 forward ranks 24th in scoring (11.7 pg) and ninth in rebounding (6.1 pg) in the GLVC. He scored a season-high 30 points at Truman State on Jan. 14.

Sophomore forward Rron Thaci was named as Rockhurst's GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award honoree.
