KC Crown rivalry resumes on Saturday

Davit Kakushadze leads the Hawks with a 12.6 scoring average
The Kansas City Crown rivalry resumes Saturday at Mason-Halpin Field House. The Rockhurst Hawks and William Jewell Cardinals will tip off their first meeting of the season at 2 p.m.

Rockhurst (4-4, 1-1) is coming off a 62-46 victory at Missouri-St. Louis last Saturday. Junior forward Davit Kakushadze has averaged 18.5 points in his last four games.

Jewell (5-3, 0-2 GLVC) opened conference play with road losses at Missouri-St. Louis and McKendree. Senior guard Jordan Jermain ranks fifth in the GLVC in scoring (16.5).

The Cardinals have won 19 of the last 29 meetings since 2005. Jewell won both meetings last year. The Hawks lead the all-time series, 90-70.
