Conference play gets underway for the Rockhurst men's basketball team this week. The Hawks (3-3) are coming off two wins heading into tonight's GLVC opener at McKendree (7:30 p.m.).

Sophomore forward Timaris Brown combined for 41 points and 19 rebounds to lead Rockhurst to dominant wins over Missouri Southern last Saturday and Avila on Monday. Brown leads the Hawks in scoring (13.8) and rebounding (6.2).

McKendree (3-1, 0-0 GLVC) collected a 71-68 victory at Ferris State on Nov. 22. Junior forward Milos Vicentic ranks second in the GLVC in scoring (24.8).

The Bearcats tied the all-time series at 6-6 with two wins over Rockhurst last season. McKendree won the latest meeting, 80-75, in Kansas City last February.

Rockhurst travels to Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday at 2 p.m. UMSL (2-4, 0-0 GLVC) is coming off a 71-41 loss to 17th-ranked Northwest Missouri State last week. Sophomore guard Matt Enright leads the Tritons with a 15.5 scoring average.

The Hawks posted two wins over the Tritons last year before falling to UMSL in the first round of the GLVC Tournament. The Tritons lead the all-time series, 26-24.
