Men face road test at Missouri Southern

Miles White leads the Hawks with a 15.3 scoring average

The Rockhurst men travel to Joplin to face Missouri Southern on Saturday at 3 p.m. The Hawks (1-3) are coming off a road loss at Washburn last week.

Sophomore guard Miles White leads the Hawks with a 15.3 scoring average. White is shooting 53.8 percent from the field and 56.5 percent on 3-point field goals.

Freshman guard Brian Hawthorne has looked impressive, averaging 11.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.3 steals per game.

Missouri Southern (2-3) has dropped its last two games to GLVC foes Illinois Springfield (96-77) and Drury (76-70). Junior forward Darius Dawson leads the Lions in scoring (13.3 pg) and rebounding (8.4 pg).

Rockhurst returns home to host Avila at 7 p.m. Monday. The Hawks open conference play at McKendree on Thursday, Nov. 30.
