Hawks open road trip at Quincy tonight

The Hawks are riding a five-game winning streak.
Fresh off two conference wins at home, Rockhurst returns to the road for a pair of key GLVC games beginning tonight at Quincy. The Hawks (9-5, 4-2 GLVC) close out the weekend at Truman State on Saturday at 3 p.m.

Junior forward Rich Byhre earned his third GLVC Player of the Week award after combining for 55 points in wins over fourth-ranked Missouri-St. Louis and Illinois Springfield. Byhre continues to lead the GLVC in scoring (19.9 pg) and rebounding (9.8 pg).

Quincy (9-5, 5-1 GLVC) is coming off an 67-66 win at William Jewell last Saturday. Senior forward Malik Hardmon leads QU in scoring (12.6 pg). Rockhurst has won six of the last seven meetings with Quincy.

Truman State (6-8, 1-5 GLVC) is hosting William Jewell on Thursday before facing the Hawks on Saturday. The Bulldogs are led by junior guard Elijah Hazekamp, who is averaging 14.4 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. The Bulldogs have won four of the last five meetings with Rockhurst.
