The Rockhurst men's golf team tied for second place at the KC Cup Tuesday at the Paradise Pointe Golf Complex in Smithville, Missouri.

The Hawks shot a 305 on the second day to finish with a 54-hole score of 925. Elijah Shirley finished in eighth place with a two-day score of 230. He shot a 76 in the third round after opening with a 76 and 78 on Monday.

David Schilp and Ben Elgas tied for ninth place with 233 scores. Schilp fired a 73 in the third round, while Elgas shot a 75 on day two.

Caleb Schmid shot an 81 in the third round to tie for 12th individually at 234. Caleb Gilliland, Mike Wolski, Andrew Park and Kaleb Fullerton tied for 15th with 240 scores to lead the individual scores for the Hawks.
