Hawks earn 11 Team Academic All-GLVC honors

Volleyball led the Hawks with a 3.83 team GPA, which also topped all GLVC volleyball teams.

Eleven of Rockhurst's 15 athletic teams earned the 2021-22 Team Academic All-GLVC Award. The GLVC recognizes each team from member institutions that have maintained a 3.30 grade point average for the academic year. The total of 173 honorees did not reach to 2019-20 record-breaking total of 207 but did surpass the previous record from 2018-19 of 152.

The Hawks were led by their volleyball team with a 3.83 GPA, followed by softball with a 3.82 GPA. The other nine Rockhurst teams to receive the award were women's cross country (3.77), women's tennis (3.70), women's basketball (3.66), women's golf (3.66), women's lacrosse (3.61), men's golf (3.60), men's cross country (3.53), women's soccer (3.50), and men's basketball (3.36).

Rockhurst posted the highest team GPA in the GLVC in volleyball, softball, women's cross country, and women's lacrosse. The RU women's tennis, women's basketball, men's cross country and men's golf teams posted the third highest team GPA in their respective sports in the GLVC.

Of the 173 honored programs, 122 came from women's sports and 51 from the men's side.
