Laudando named to D2CCA All-Region Team

Michael Laudando batted .361 and collected seven wins on the mound.
Rockhurst's Michael Laudando was named to the D2CCA Baseball All-Midwest Second Team at the Utility (Pitcher) position, as selected by the region's sports information directors.

The freshman from Westchester, Illinois had an outstanding season on the mound and at the plate. He posted a 7-5 record with 100 strikeouts and a 3.16 ERA while holding opponents to a .228 batting average. He also batted .361 with 21 runs scored, 22 RBIs and a .459 slugging percentage.

Laudando was earlier voted the GLVC Freshman of the year. He also collected first team All-GLVC honors at the utility position and second team All-GLVC pitching honors.

 
The Division II Conference Commissioners Association encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of higher education. The CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies, and regulations that impact Division II intercollegiate athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.
