Hawks place second at NSIC Preview Invitational

The Hawks passed five teams in Round Two to finish in second place.
The Rockhurst men's golf team rallied in the final round to finish in second place at the NSIC Preview Invitational Tuesday at the Adams Pointe Golf Course in Blue Springs, Missouri.

Rockhurst fired a 289 team score in the second round to finish one shot ahead of Drury and Winona State with a 597 team score. The Hawks moved up five spots after shooting a 308 in the first round.

Jack Junge tied for second place individually with a 36-hole score of 144 on the par-72 course. The senior from Lawrence, Kansas shot a 75 in the first round and a 69 in the final round. He posted 15 pars and three birdies over his final 18 holes.

Brett Blau (78-73) and Caleb Schmid (76-75) tied for 19th place with a 151 score. Luke Brugman tied for 29th at 153 (81-72).

Ben Elgas (86-72) and Elijah Shirley (79-79) tied for 56th place with a 158 score. David Schilp tied for 61st at 159 (79-80).
