Hawks open road trip in Indiana today

The Hawks play three games in four days.

Over the next four days, the Rockhurst men's basketball team will play three games in three states beginning tonight at Southern Indiana.

The Hawks (10-11, 5-6 GLVC) and Screaming Eagles (12-4, 7-3 GLVC) tip off at 5 p.m. today in Evansville, Indiana. Rockhurst is riding a three-game winning streak, while USI has won five consecutive games.

The Eagles are led by junior forward Jacob Polakovich, who leads the GLVC in rebounding (10.7 pg). Rockhurst senior forward Nick Volz continues to rank in the top 10 in the GLVC in scoring, rebounding and assists.

Rockhurst faces McKendree (10-5, 6-5 GLVC) on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in Lebanon, Illinois. The Bearcats have won five of their last six games. McKendree is led by junior guard Bryson Bultman, who ranks third in scoring (19.5 pg) in the GLVC.

The Hawks conclude their trip on Monday at Missouri-St. Louis in a 6 p.m. tipoff. The Tritons (13-5, 7-4 GLVC) fell at Rockhurst, 68-67, on Jan. 27. UMSL junior forward Marty Jackson ranks fifth in scoring (16.7 pg) in the GLVC.
