Hawks wrap up regular season this weekend

Nick Volz has combined for 700 points, rebounds and assists this season.

The Rockhurst men wrap up the regular season this weekend at Mason-Halpin Field House. The Hawks will host William Jewell (12-14, 8-10 GLVC) at 7:30 tonight, while Truman State (19-6, 13-4 GLVC) is the Senior Day opponent at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Rockhurst (10-18, 5-13 GLVC) is looking for its first win since Jan. 31. The Hawks will play their first-round game in the GLVC Tournament on the road on Monday, Feb. 28. They will not know who they play until the bracket is released Saturday night.
Senior forward Nick Volz has combined for 700 points, rebounds and assists this season. He ranks seventh in scoring, ninth in rebounding and 10th in assists in the GLVC.

Jewell has lost eight of its last 11 games. The Cardinals are led by sophomore guard Jordan Jermain, who ranks 15th in scoring (13.8 pg) in the GLVC.

Truman is ranked first in the NCAA Midwest Regional rankings and second in the GLVC Point Rating System. The Bulldogs have won their last six games. Junior forward Cade McKnight leads the GLVC in scoring (20.2 pg).
