Hawks face road games at McKendree, Indy

Nico Felici leads the Hawks in assists.
The Rockhurst men play their next three games on the road after the Hawks opened conference play with a 93-69 victory Maryville Monday night.

Rockhurst (3-3, 1-0 GLVC) will face McKendree tonight at 7:30 in Lebanon, Illinois and then travel to the Hoosier State on Saturday for a 2 p.m. (Central time) game at Indianapolis.

Rich Byhre posted his fourth double-double of the season with 22 points and 15 rebounds in the win over Maryville. The junior forward leads the GLVC in scoring (18.3 pg) and rebounding (11.0 pg).

Junior guard Jake Auer scored 13 points on Monday to increase his scoring average to 11.2 points per game. Freshman forward Timaris Brown is averaging 9.5 points after scoring 15 points against Maryville.

McKendree (3-3, 1-1 GLVC) is coming off a 77-55 loss at William Jewell on Monday. Senior guard Bryce Bultman ranks third in scoring (15.8 pg) and eighth in rebounding (6.7 pg) in the GLVC.

The Bearcats have won the last three meetings with Rockhurst. The Hawks lead the all-time series, 6-4.

Indianapolis (5-1, 1-1 GLVC) posted an 80-57 victory at Truman State on Monday. Sophomore guard Jesse Bingham ranks sixth in the GLVC in scoring (15.0 pg).

The Greyhounds holds a 12-5 advantage in the all-time series and have won the six meetings dating back to 2017.
