Mabry selected to represent GLVC on NCAA D2 national committee

Dani Mabry is the current SAAC president at Rockhurst.
Rockhurst student-athlete Dani Mabry has been selected as a Great Lakes Valley Conference representative to the NCAA Division II Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). Her term of service on the committee will begin immediately and continue through January 18, 2025.

Mabry is a senior attacker on the women's lacrosse team from Chesterfield, Missouri. She is majoring in Exercise Science and is the current SAAC president for Rockhurst. Mabry was named the All-GLVC Second Team last spring and finished the season with 32 goals and 40 points.

"Dani is such a great leader and a great person. This is big news for Rockhurst University," said assistant director of athletics/senior woman administrator Kathy Strecker, who is the SAAC advisor for Rockhurst.

SAAC serves as the primary governance arm representing student-athlete interests in Division II affairs. SAAC members serve as student-athlete liaisons that monitor and discuss happenings on campuses, within the conference and at the national level.

Representatives are responsible for gathering feedback and reporting on behalf of their conference, as well as relaying important events, hot topics and educational information to both the campus and conference levels. In addition to relaying information across campuses and conferences, the committee speaks on behalf of the entire Division II student-athlete body throughout the NCAA governance structure.
