Men win tournament with school record team score

The Hawks broke the 36-hole school record by two shots.
The Rockhurst men's golf team broke another team record in capturing first place in the Rockhurst Fall Invitational Thursday at the Swope Memorial Golf Course in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Hawks shot a 581 for 36 holes to break the two-year-old school record by two shots. Luke Brugman and Caleb Schmid shared individual honors with a two-day total of 140. Both players shot a 71 in the second round after opening with a 69 on day one.

Jack Junge finished in third place with a 144. Freshman Ben Elgas tied for fifth at 147. Andrew Park and Will Armstrong tied for eighth with a 150 score.

Cooper Stiles and Mac Piles each shot a 151 for 36 holes to close out the team scoring for Rockhurst.
