Rockhurst faces Greyhounds in GLVC Tournament

The Hawks enter the GLVC Tournament on a seven-game winning streak.

Rockhurst meets Indianapolis in the opening game in the 2021 Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship Tournament at 9 a.m. Thursday. This year's eight-team event will take place on the campus of Lindenwood University at the Lou Brock Sports Complex in St. Charles, Missouri.

The Hawks (23-17, 20-16 GLVC) are the No. 3 seed in the Green Division. Indianapolis (21-19, 19-13 GLVC) is the No. 2 seed in the Blue Division.

Rockhurst and Indianapolis last met in the championship game in the 2016 GLVC Tournament in Westfield, Indiana. The Greyhounds posted a 6-1 win over the Hawks in the title game after Rockhurst downed UIndy 11-8 in the opening game in the 2016 GLVC Tournament.

Illinois Springfield (34-5, 30-5 GLVC) and Quincy (27-11, 24-10 GLVC) are the top two seeds in the Green Division. Missouri S&T (21-19, 17-15 GLVC) earned the Green's No. 4 seed.

Host Lindenwood (29-7, 25-7 GLVC) garnered the Blue Division's top seed. Southern Indiana (22-18, 18-14 GLVC) and Lewis (23-16, 18-14 GLVC) round out the Blue Division as the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds, respectively.

Eighty spectators per team, per game will be admitted. Fans must be on a "will-call" list prior to arrival, which will be sent to each participating program. Spectators must exit the facility immediately following each game.
