Conner named to All-GLVC Second Team

Morgan Conner ranks second in the GLVC in blocks per set.

Rockhurst's Morgan Conner received postseason honors from the Great Lakes Valley Conference for the 2020-21 volleyball season, as announced by the league office Thursday.

Connor was named to the All-GLVC Second team. The senior middle hitter ranks second in blocks per set (1.17) and ninth in hitting percentage (29.3) in the GLVC. She leads the Hawks in points per set (3.03) and ranks second on the team in kills per set (2.37).

Conner was also named as Rockhurst's GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award honoree.

These student-athletes have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These individuals must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting.

The honorees are now eligible to become one of their school's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced at the end of the academic year.

The Hawks (12-6) will face Missouri-St. Louis in the first round of the GLVC Tournament Friday afternoon in East Peoria, Illiniois.
