Hawks face road games at Truman, Jewell

Senior guard Curtis Lewis has scored 1,573 career points.

With two games left in the regular season, the Rockhurst men are fighting for a spot in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament.

The Hawks, 9-11, are currently in eighth place in the GLVC Point Rating System, which decides the top eight teams for the GLVC Tournament.

Rockhurst faces road games at Truman State on Thursday (7:30 p.m.) and at William Jewell on Saturday (3 p.m.).

The senior trio of Curtis Lewis, Quinton Curry and Chris Hamil have combined for 3,965 career points. Hamil joined Lewis and Curry in the 1,000-point club on Saturday, scoring 18 points in a 68-62 win over Quincy.

Truman State, 16-1, has won 11 in a row as the Bulldogs are ranked third in the nation. Junior forward Cade McKnight ranks seventh in scoring (17.9 pg) in the GLVC.

William Jewell, 4-16, is coming off a 76-70 loss to Truman State on Saturday. Senior forward Eysan Wiley ranks eighth in scoring (17.8 pg) in the GLVC.
