The Rockhurst men host the Avila Eagles in a special noon tipoff Friday against the Avila Eagles.

The Hawks (4-7) is coming off back-to-back wins over Baptist Bible College and York College. Rockhurst will return to conference play at home on Jan. 2 against Missouri S&T.

Sophomore guard Jake Auer leads the Hawks in scoring (15.2 pg) and 3-point field goals made (3.55 pg). Senior forward Nick Volz is averaging 14.4 points and 7.1 rebounds per game. Avila returns to Mason-Halpin for the third time since 2017.

The Eagles edged Rockhurst, 80-78, in their last visit to Rockhurst in 2019. Junior forward Eric Smith Jr. leads Avila in scoring (16.8 pg) and rebounding (10.4 pg).
