The Rockhurst men's basketball team makes their home debut this weekend at Mason-Halpin Field House. The Hawks will face Davenport and Purdue Northwest in the four-team GLVC-GLIAC Challenge.

Rockhurst (0-2) plays Davenport on Friday at 7 p.m., after William Jewell and Purdue Northwest tip off play at 5 p.m. The Hawks will face PNW at 3 p.m. on Saturday following the Jewell-Davenport game at 1 p.m.
The Hawks are celebrating 100 years of basketball at Rockhurst this weekend and will honor their All-Century Team at halftime of Friday's game. It's also Rock E. Hawk Bobblehead Giveaway Night.

Rockhurst is coming off losses to St. Thomas Aquinas and Northern State in the Small College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic last weekend in St. Joseph, Missouri.
Senior forward
Nick Volz leads the Hawks with a 16.0 scoring average while shooting 60.9 percent from the field. Sophomore forward
Rich Byhre is averaging 11.5 points on 53.8 percent shooting. Junior forward
Mikal Gjerde leads the team in rebounding (7.0 per game).

Davenport posted a 5-11 record in an abbreviated season last season. Senior guard Chris Rollins leads the offense as one of the top players in the GLIAC. The two-time All-Conference first teamer averaged 18.4 points, 4.0 assists and 2.8 steals last season.
Purdue Northwest finished with an 8-9 record last year. The GLIAC did not begin play until January. The Pride return three players who averaged 12 points last season, led by senior forward Jyrus Freels and junior guard Mikell Cooper at 12.5 points per outing.
William Jewell is coming off a 5-16 finish last year. The Cardinals return eight letterwinners, led by senior guard Mason Alexander who averaged 12.6 points per game.
