Brugman leads Hawks to fourth-place finish at Eagle Bend

Luke Brugman shot a career-best 71 in the second round to finish with a 36-hole score of 150.

The Rockhurst men's golf team opened the season with a fourth-place finish at the Ottawa Fall Invitational Tuesday at the Eagle Bend Golf Course in Lawrence, Kansas.

Luke Brugman tied for seventh place to lead the Hawks to a 603 team score. The senior from Wichita, Kansas shot a career-best 71 in the second round to finish with a 36-hole score of 150.

Mac Piles and Daven Bhagar tied for 20th place with 153 scores. Freshman Cooper Stiles also tied for 20th place. Freshman Will Armstrong and Kaleb Fullerton tied for 24th with 154 scores.
