Hawks announce addition of Tennessee prep forward

Kameron Phillips averaged 8.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game at Germantown High School.

Head coach Drew Diener announced the signing of Kameron Phillips of Germantown, Tennessee on Tuesday (May 5). The 6-5 forward is the fourth addition to Rockhurst's 2020-21 men's basketball class.

Phillips averaged 8.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game at Germantown High School. He was named to the All-Regional Tournament Team and was honored as his team's Defensive Player of the Year.

"Kam is a skilled, hardworking athlete with a great upside," Diener said. "He really came on for his team at the end of the year. He is a great shot blocker with good timing and instincts on that end of the floor.

"He has a great upside and will work hard to get bigger and stronger. On offense, he has shown the ability to make outside shots and slash to the rim. We love the idea of Kam joining our program."
