RU's Mark selected to Academic All-District Baseball Team

Nathan Mark, who has a 3.98 cumulative GPA, is majoring in History, Political Science and Theology.
Rockhurst junior Nathan Mark was selected to the 2020 NCAA Division II Academic All-District Baseball Team, voted on by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Mark was one of 12 student-athletes named to the All-District 4 First Team, which recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. He was one of seven student-athletes from the GLVC to collect Academic All-District honors.

The Shawnee, Kansas, product started all 17 games at third base in 2020. Mark led the team with three home runs and 20 RBIs while batting .276 in 58 at-bats. He ended the season with RBIs in 10 of his last 11 games while driving in 17 runs over that stretch.

Mark, who has a 3.98 cumulative GPA, is majoring in History, Political Science and Theology.

He was named to the 2019 CoSIDA Academic All-America first team as a designated hitter.

The Hawks ended the 2020 season with a 10-7 record, winning nine of their final 12 games in head coach Gary Burns' 27th season.

Honorees selected first-team Academic All-District will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. Academic All-America honorees will be announced from June 8-11.
