Hawks looking to clinch spot in GLVC Tournament

The Hawks are currently seventh in the GLVC Point Rating System.
The Rockhurst Hawks hope to clinch a berth in the eight-team GLVC Tournament, which starts on March 5 in Edwardsville, Illinois, heading into the final week of the regular season.

Rockhurst faces formidable road tests at Southwest Baptist on Thursday (7:30 p.m.) and at Drury on Saturday (3:00 p.m.).

The Hawks (15-11, 11-7 GLVC) have dropped four of their last six games and are currently in seventh place in the GLVC Point Rating System, one spot ahead of the Drury Panthers.

Drury (18-8, 11-7 GLVC) has won seven of its last eight games, including posting an 80-72 win at Rockhurst on Feb. 13. The Panthers have not lost at home to the Hawks since 2009.

Southwest Baptist (19-7, 12-6 GLVC) is one spot ahead of Rockhurst in the GLVC Point Rating System. The Bearcats have lost three of their last five games, including falling by a 73-64 score at Rockhurst on Feb. 15.

Missouri-St. Louis, Truman State, Southern Indiana, Indianapolis and Bellarmine are the top five teams in the GLVC Point Rating System.
