Hawks travel to Lindenwood for first ever meeting

The Hawks face Lindenwood and 24th-ranked UMSL this week.
The Rockhurst Hawks will close out the regular season with four road games, beginning Thursday night at Lindenwood (7:30 p.m) in the first meeting between the two schools.

The Hawks (15-9, 11-5 GLVC) have won seven of their last 10 games and are currently in sixth place in the GLVC Point Rating System.

RU's Curtis Lewis (16.2 pg), Quinton Curry (15.1 pg) and Chris Hamil (14.7 pg) rank among the top 20 scorers in the GLVC. Curry and Nick Volz stand fifth and sixth in rebounding in the conference. Hamil ranks fourth in 3-point field goals made (3.1 pg) in the GLVC.

Lindenwood (9-15, 3-13 GLVC) has lost 12 of its last 13 games. Junior guard TJ Crockett leads the GLVC in scoring (21.3 pg) and ranks 10th in steals (1.5 pg) in the GLVC.

Rockhurst will face 24th-ranked Missouri-St. Louis (21-5, 12-4 GLVC) at 3 p.m. Saturday. The Tritons have lost three of their last four games, including one-point road losses to Truman State and Southern Indiana.

Juniors Yaakema Rose Jr. (14.0 pg) and Jose Grubbs (13.7 pg) lead the Tritons in scoring. Rose Jr. leads the GLVC in steals and ranks 16th in the nation with 2.2 per game.

UMSL has won six of the last seven meetings with Rockhurst and holds a 22-21 lead in the all-time series and has won six of the last seven.
