Rockhurst moves up home game with UMSL Tritons

Missouri-St. Louis will make its first visit to Rockhurst in four years this weekend. The Hawks and Tritons meet Saturday at 3 p.m. at RU's Mason-Halpin Field House.

Originally scheduled for Jan. 6, but the two teams agreed to move up the game with UMSL having a bye weekend and Rockhurst rescheduling its game with Drury to Feb. 9 game due to COVID-19 protocols.

The Hawks (3-1) posted an 83-81 win at Missouri S&T last Saturday. Curtis Lewis scored a career-high 33 points in the victory over the Miners.

Lewis ranks 19th in scoring (15.0 pg) and seventh in assists (3.8 pg) in the GLVC. Chris Hamil leads the team in scoring (21.0 pg, 3rd in GLVC). Quinton Curry ranks 10th in rebounding (7.8 pg) in the GLVC.

UMSL (1-1) is coming off an 81-69 loss at home to Truman State last weekend. The loss knocked the Tritons out of the NABC D2 national poll after previously having been ranked ninth in the preseason poll.

Junior forward Marty Jackson ranks 14th in scoring (16.5 pg) in the GLVC, while senior guard Yaakema Rose Jr. is averaging 13.5 points per game. Junior guard Steve Webb ranks second in NCAA D2 in assist-turnover ratio (6.0).
