The Rockhurst women's lacrosse team will take the field twice in three days -- at home Thursday vs. Lindenwood (7:00 p.m.) and on the road Saturday at Oklahoma Baptist (11:00 a.m.).
The Hawks (8-6, 4-2 RMAC) are down to the home stretch of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference play, with three regular season games left. Coach
Molly McCourt's team has won two games in a row and three of their last four. At 4-2 in the RMAC, the Hawks find themselves in a tie for fourth place with Colorado-Colorado Springs, which visits Rockhurst on Saturday, April 27 to conclude the regular season.
Of the three teams ahead of Rockhurst and UC-Colorado Springs, Thursday's opponent Lindenwood is one of them. The Lions enter Thursday's game ranked eighth in the country, having suffered their first loss of the season Sunday vs. No. 4 Regis (the current first place team in the RMAC at 13-0, 6-0).
Oklahoma Baptist enters Saturday's matchup with a record of 5-6 (1-5 RMAC). The Bison are coming off an 18-16 win over Southwestern University and will present a challenge, especially given the quick turnaround with the Hawks playing two games in three days.
