Hawks face Prairie Stars at Urban Youth Academy

The Rockhurst baseball team returns to conference action this weekend against Illinois Springfield. The three-game series has been moved from RU's Loyola Park to Motley Family Field at the Urban Youth Academy near downtown Kansas City, Missouri.

Saturday's doubleheader will start at noon and Sunday's single game will begin at 1 p.m. Admission is free for all games.

Rockhurst (3-11, 0-3 GLVC) is coming off a 12-4 loss at Central Missouri on Wednesday. Junior outfielder Noah Huston leads the Hawks offensively with a. 455 batting average (15-for-33) with five doubles and 20 total bases. Sophomore first baseman/DH Nathan Mark is hitting .333 (11-for-33) with one home run and eight RBIs.

Illinois Springfield (11-3-1, 2-1 GLVC) sports a .347 team batting average. Sophomore first baseman Chris Monroe leads the Prairie Stars with a .404 batting average with 19 RBIs. Senior outfielder Zach Speaker is hitting .320 with four home runs and 22 RBIs. Senior right-hander Brock Immke has a 3-0 record and 0.64 ERA.
