The Rockhurst women's tennis team posted a 4-3 victory over William Woods in a non-conference dual Friday at the Milburn Country Club in Overland Park, Kansas.

The Hawks jumped out to a 1-0 lead after the doubles competition. Sam Czarnecki and Paula Romero won No. 1 doubles by a 7-6 (7-3) score. Anilu Barraza and Octavia Malin teamed up to win No. 2 doubles, 6-2.

Czarnecki, Barraza and Emma Persson each won their singles match in two sets.

William Woods posted a 5-2 victory the Rockhurst men on Friday at the Carriage Club indoor courts. Masao Perret won his No. 2 singles match in three sets. Santiago Rodriguez Villegas also won in three sets in No. 4 singles.

The Rockhurst men came back on Saturday to defeat Ottawa University, 6-1, at the Carriage Club indoor courts. Tarass Thevenaz, Nicolas Leon, Rodriguez Villegas and Alex Bernadas won in singles play.

The men and women will both play Baker University on Saturday (February 16) as the Genesis Health Club in Lawrence, Kansas.
