The Rockhurst Hawks will close out their men's basketball home schedule this weekend. The Hawks will host Quincy (9-14, 3-10 GLVC) on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. and meet Truman State (12-11, 7-6 GLVC) on Saturday at 3 p.m.
Rockhurst (13-10, 7-6 GLVC) is riding a three-game winning streak and currently stands in eighth place in the GLVC Point Rating System with five conference games remaining (two at home and three on the road).
The Hawks are coming off a 75-55 victory over McKendree at home last Saturday.
Quinton Curry led Rockhurst with 22 points and nine rebounds. Curry ranks 17th in scoring (13.6 pg) and sixth in rebounding (6.6 pg) in the GLVC.
Curtis Lewis, who scored 16 points against McKendree, ranks 16th in scoring (13.6 pg) in the GLVC.
Quincy has dropped nine of its last 11 games. Truman State posted an 85-57 victory over Quincy last Saturday in Kirksville, Missouri. Tanner Stuckman led Quincy with 19 points. Demetrius Houston ranks 20th in the GLVC in scoring (13.1 ppg). Marcus Hinton ranks third in the GLVC in rebounding (6.9 pg).
Rockhurst won its last meeting with Quincy, 86-72, last Dec. 1 in Illinois. Quincy has won four of the last five meetings.
Truman State has won four of its last five games. The Bearcats play at William Jewell Thursday night before making the trip to Rockhurst.
Brodric Thomas leads Truman in scoring (18.6 pg) and rebounding (6.9 pg). Cade McKnight ranks 22nd in the GLVC in scoring (12.5 ppg).
Truman State defeated Rockhurst, 64-70, earlier this season in Kirksville. The Bearcats have won nine of the last 10 meetings and lead the all-time series, 27-14.
