The Rockhurst Hawks (9-5, 3-1 GLVC) and William Jewell Cardinals (8-8. 2-2 GLVC) meet for the first time this season on Saturday at Mason-Halpin Field House. The game time was moved to up 11:00 a.m. to avoid a conflict with the Kansas City Chiefs-Indianapolis Colts AFC Divisional playoff game.

Jewell has won 15 of the last 20 meetings in the series, including posting an 11-3 record vs. the Hawks since joining the GLVC in 2013.

The Hawks have won six of their last eight games. Quinton Curry ranks 23rd in scoring (13.2 pg) and seventh in rebounding (6.4 pg) in the GLVC. Chris Hamil stands 18th in scoring (14.0 pg) and seventh in 3-point field goals (2.50 pg) in the GLVC.

Curtis Lewis ranks eighth in assists (4.07 pg) and 20th in scoring (13.5 pg) in the GLVC. Connor Evans is second in blocked shots (1.21 pg) in the GLVC.

The Cardinals earned their sixth consecutive win and evened their overall record at 8-8 with a 108-93 win over Missouri S&T last Saturday. For the third consecutive game, Keith Hayes tied or set a new career-high with 33 points. The senior guard was named the GLVC Player of the Week as he scored 63 points on 22-for-33 from the floor and 9-for-15 from 3-point land in two conference wins.

Hayes leads the GLVC in scoring (22.5 pg) and 3-point field goals made (3.19 pg). Eysan Wiley is the conference leader in rebounds (9.0 pg) and blocked shots (2.19 pg).
