Rockhurst dropped its opening match in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament by a 5-0 score to 27th-ranked Bellarmine Friday at the Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield, Missouri.

Bellarmine swept the three doubles matches while dropping 11 sets to the Hawks. Justine Berezintsev and Sara Flaxbeard suffered an 8-5 loss in No. 3 doubles.

Tamara Santos and Berezintsev lost in singles play at No. 3 and No. 4, while the other four singles matches were unfinished.

Rockhurst ends the season with a 9-10 record.
