Czarnecki, Persson earn All-GLVC tennis honors

Rockhurst's Samantha Czarnecki and Emma Persson were selected to the 2018 All-Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Tennis Team by league coaches.

Czarnecki, a freshman from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, has posted a 13-5 overall record and a 4-2 mark in conference play in singles. In doubles play, Czarnecki collected a 8-10 record overall and 3-3 mark in conference duals.

Persson, a junior from Stockholm, Sweden, has tallied a 8-6 overall record and a 3-0 mark in conference play in singles. In doubles play, Persson collected a 3-11 record overall and 1-2 mark in conference duals.

The Rockhurst women finished 9-9 in the regular season and placed fourth at 3-3 in the GLVC West. The Hawks will face Bellarmine in the first round of the conference's postseason tournament at 2 p.m. Friday (April 20) in Springfield, Missouri.
