Late goal gives Hawks an 11-10 win over Colorado Springs

Bunga Spencer posted six ground balls, six draw controls and four caused turnovers.

Box Score Lily Molina scored the game-winning goal with 6:11 left in the game to give Rockhurst an 11-10 victory over Colorado-Colorado Springs in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference game Wednesday night in Colorado Springs.

The Hawks rallied from a 9-8 deficit over the final 17 minutes. Molina gave Rockhurst a 10-9 lead with an assist from Hannah Miller with 9:49 left to play. UCCS tied the score less than two minutes later before Molina's winning shot.

Miller led the Hawks with five points on three goals and two assists. Molina tallied a team-high four goals. Miller and Molina combined for four goals in the first half to give Rockhurst a 6-3 halftime lead.

Bunga Spencer posted six ground balls, six draw controls and four caused turnovers. Audrey Ford collected five ground balls, three draw controls and three caused turnovers. Hanna Meek had five ground balls, four caused turnovers and three draw controls. Maddi Scheipeter added two goals.

Leena Nabulsi and Kelsey Norby combined for eight saves. The Hawks (4-2, 1-1 RMAC) play at Colorado State-Pueblo on Thursday.
