Drury opened the second half by scoring eight unanswered points to pull away for an 83-67 victory over Rockhurst Thursday night at RU's Mason-Halpin Field House.

The Panthers outscored the Hawks 52-40 in the second half behind 60 percent field goal shooting. Drury scored 16 of its 26 points in the paint in the final 20 minutes.

Rockhurst outscored Drury 25-15 over the final 14 minutes of the first half after falling behind 16-2 in the first six minutes of the game.

Auston Rushing led the Hawks with 15 points on five of nine three-point shooting. Gabe Brown posted season highs in points (13) and rebounds (8).

Travis House scored 13 points behind three 3-pointers. Curtis Lewis finished with seven points and seven assists. Quinton Curry added nine points.

Rockhurst shot 43.1 percent from the field (22 of 51) and 39.1 percent from the 3-point line (nine of 23). Drury made 30 of 62 field goals (48.4 percent) and 13 of 29 three-pointers (44.8 percent).

The Hawks (11-12, 4-9 GLVC) play at McKendree on Saturday.
