Box Score Drury rallied down the stretch to post a 65-61 victory over Rockhurst Thursday night in Springfield, Missouri.
The Panthers closed the game on a 15-6 run while holding the Hawks to two-of-13 field goal shooting over the final nine minutes. Rockhurst took a 55-50 lead on a 3-pointer by Eddie Muench with 9:34 left.
"We were a couple possessions away from winning that game,"Â said Rockhurst coach Drew Diener. "Our turnovers and poor job of keeping them off the glass really hurt us. We guarded them well, but gave them too many possessions."
Travis House led the Hawks with 19 points while hitting five 3-pointers. Muench scored 14 points with four 3-pointers. Curtis Lewis collected 11 points, five rebounds and five assists. Quinton Curry added nine points and 11 rebounds.
Rockhurst shot 36.5 percent from the field (19 of 52) and 40.7 percent from behind the 3-point line (11 of 27). The Hawks led 36-31 at halftime behind eight of 15 3-point shooting.
Drury made 21 of 53 field goals (49.1 percent) and nine of 35 3-point shots (25.7 percent). The Panthers outrebounded the Hawks, 41-36.
The Hawks (13-14, 6-11 GLVC) close out the season against Missouri S&T on Saturday.
