Hawks capture 13-3 road victory at DePauw

Tessa Boots led the Hawks with three goals in the second half.

Box Score Rockhurst scored eight unanswered goals in posting a 13-3 victory over DePauw Friday in Greencastle, Indiana.

Tessa Boots led the Hawks with three second-half goals (two on free-position shots) and four ground balls. Hannah Miller posted four assists and four ground balls.

Hanna Meek tallied a team-high eight draw controls. Bunga Spencer had five ground balls and three caused turnovers.

"Hanna was amazing with her eight draws. Danielle played great, too," said Rockhurst coach Molly McCourt. "Tessa showed her experience and changed the momentum of the game with her first goal."

Lily Molina, Olivia Collier and Clare Goessling each scored two goals. Audrey Ford collected two points on one goal and one assist.

Miller, Collier and Marianna Anderson paced the Hawks with five shots each. Collier added six ground balls and three caused turnovers.

The Hawks (2-0) play at 24th-ranked Indianapolis on Saturday.
