Box Score A late run in overtime lifted Wisconsin-Parkside to an 81-77 victory over the Rockhurst Hawks Saturday in Somers, Wisconsin.
Parkside scored nine of the last 11 points of the game to overcome a 75-72 deficit with two minutes left in overtime. The Hawks missed four of their last five field goals.
Rockhurst, which led for nearly 25 minutes in the game, enjoyed a 66-59 lead with 3:14 left in the second half. Parkside scored two field goals in the final minute to send the game into overtime at 70-70.
"I'm really happy with our team. We fight. We are gonna get hot and start playing even better,"Â said Rockhurst coach Drew Diener.
"(Parkside) has a great program; very well coached. It really burns to lose that one. We had some great performances."
Curtis Lewis led the Hawks with 25 points, nine assists and four rebounds. Travis House came off the bench to finish with 17 points behind five 3-pointers. Quinton Curry posted 14 points and eight rebounds. Alex Hagan added 12 points and five rebounds.
Rockhurst shot 48.4 percent from the field (30 of 62) and 41.7 percent from the 3-point line (10 of 24). Parkside made 26 of 61 field goals (49.1 percent) and 12 of 25 3-pointers (48.0 percent).
The Hawks (9-9, 3-6 GLVC) play at Missouri-St. Louis on Thursday.
