Hawks end trip with loss at Colorado Mesa

Box Score Rockhurst ended its Western road trip with an 18-5 loss to Colorado Mesa in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference game Saturday in Grand Junction, Colo.

Shayna Stevens and Hannah Weisbrod led the Hawks with two goals apiece. Stevens' second goal cut Mesa's lead to 4-2. Weisbrod scored both of her goals in the second half.

Colorado Mesa outshot Rockhurst, 31-13. Weisbrod and Stevens each tallied five shots to pace the Hawks. Zoe Otteman had a team-high four ground balls and two caused turnovers. Leena Nabulsi posted eight saves.

The Hawks (7-7, 3-3 RMAC) next play at Oklahoma Baptist on Saturday (April 15).
