Hawks fall to second-ranked Lindenwood

Leena Nabulsi posted 10 saves and six ground balls.

Box Score Rockhurst wrapped up the regular season with a 13-2 loss to second-ranked Lindenwood on a cold and rainy Saturday at Bourke Field.

Lindenwood jumped out to a 6-1 lead at halftime. The Lions scored the first six goals of the second half. Sam Roth and Tierney Buschbacher scored unassisted goals for the Hawks.

Lindenwood outshot Rockhurst, 32-16. Buschbacher, Hannah Weisbrod, Shayna Stevens and Roth each tallied three shots. Tessa Boots collected three draw controls. Leena Nabulsi posted 10 saves and a team-high six ground balls.

The Hawks (9-8, 4-5 RMAC) will play Colorado Mesa in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament on May 4 in Denver, Colo.
