Hawks suffer 4-1 loss in Florida

Seth Soto doubled in the fourth and scored a run in the seventh.

Box Score Ohio Valley scored three runs on four hits in the sixth inning to defeat Rockhurst 4-1 in the Clearwater Invitational Thursday in Clearwater, Fla.

Two Ohio Valley pitchers held the Hawks to three hits while striking out eight Rockhurst hitters. Seth Soto doubled in the fourth, Brett Marr singled in the sixth and Alex Van Pelt drove in a run with a single in the seventh.

Starting pitcher Grant Otte allowed four runs on eight hits over 5.2 innings.

The Hawks (9-4) play Oakland City on Saturday in Clearwater.
