Box Score Tessa Boots scored five points to power Rockhurst to a 16-3 victory over Adams State Thursday night at Bourke Field.
The Hawks jumped out to an 8-0 halftime lead while outshooting the Grizzlies 16-3. Rockhurst scored eight goals in the second half on 12 shots.
Boots finished with four goals and one assist.
Tierney Buschbacher posted three goals.
Hannah Weisbrod collected two goals and one assist.
Lily Molina added one goal and two assists.
Maddi Scheipeter and
Shayna Stevens each scored two goals.
Rockhurst outshot Adams State, 28-11. Boots led the Hawks with six shots, two draw controls and three caused turnovers. Weisbrod added three caused turnovers.
Leena Nabulsi made two saves.
The Hawks (4-4, 1-1 RMAC) host Colorado State-Pueblo on Friday (March 24).
