The inside strength of Maryville powered the Saints to an 80-66 victory over Rockhurst Saturday at RU's Mason-Halpin Field House.

Maryville outscored the Hawks 38-16 in the paint, including 26-14 in the second half. The Saints shot 63 percent (17 of 27) while outscoring the Hawks 42-33 in the second half.

Alex Hagan led the Hawks with 17 points, six rebounds and two blocked shots. Eddie Muench scored 15 points on five 3-pointers.

Auston Rushing came off the bench to score 13 points with three 3-pointers. Quinton Curry posted 12 points on four-of-seven shooting. Curtis Lewis added nine points and four assists.

Rockhurst shot 33.3 percent from the field (21 of 63) and 75.0 percent from the foul line (12 of 16). Maryville made 29 of 55 field goals (51.8 percent) and 18 of 28 free throws (86.7 percent).

The Hawks (4-4, 1-1 GLVC) travel to Illinois Springfield on Thursday.
