Rockhurst found the range from the outside in posting a 77-68 victory over Missouri-St. Louis Thursday night at Mason-Halpin Field House.

The Hawks connected on 12 three-pointers in improving their overall record to 11-7 and evening their conference record at 5-5.

Kaleb Warner led Rockhurst with 23 points behind seven-of-14 shooting. The junior forward made five three-pointers, in addition to collecting six rebounds.

"I thought we came out with a great defensive mentality again tonight," said Rockhurst coach Drew Diener. "On the offensive end we are playing very unselfish and making pretty good decisions. In the second half, they really attacked us one-on-one and put pressure on us not to fall. They've got some nice players over there, which put us in a predicament."

The Hawks jumped out to a 36-22 halftime lead and opened the second half on a 16-8 run to grab a 22-point lead (52-30) with 14:59 left in the game.

Alex Hagan posted 16 points and nine rebounds. Travis House scored 13 points behind four three-pointers. Connor Evans finished with 10 points, seven rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots. Malachi Nix added seven points, four rebounds and nine assists.

Rockhurst shot 42.3 percent from the field (22 of 52) and 38.7 percent on three-point field goals (12 of 31). UMSL (9-11, 3-7 GLVC) made 24-of-56 field goals (42.9 percent) and seven-of-17 three-pointers (41.2 percent).

The Hawks host Maryville at 3 p.m. on Saturday (Jan. 28).
