Box Score Colorado State-Pueblo scored eight unanswered goals in posting a 20-16 victory over Rockhurst in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference game Tuesday night in Pueblo, Colo.
The Hawks jumped out to a 7-5 lead with 7:17 left in the first half. The ThunderWolves scored the last five goals of the first half and the first three goals of the second half to take a 13-7 lead. Rockhurst went on a 7-2 run to pull within four, 18-15, with 4:45 left to play.
Hannah Weisbrod led the Hawks with seven points on five goals and two assists.
Maddi Scheipeter collected four goals and a team-high seven draw controls.
Madeline Gilstrap posted two goals and two assists.
Tierney Buschbacher and
Shayna Stevens each added two goals.
Pueblo outshot Rockhurst 40-32. Scheipeter and Stevens paced the Hawks with eight shots apiece. Weisbrod added seven shots.
Tessa Boots chipped in five draw controls.
Kathy Perkins posted 13 saves and four ground balls.
