Henry Weiler (3-1) shut down the Prairie Stars on six hits over seven innings in the first game.
Thomas Cargile came out of the bullpen to hold Springfield to one run in the nightcap.
Seth Soto led the Hawks with two hits and two RBIs in the first game. Soto had an RBI groundout in the third and a sacrifice fly in the seventh.
Garrett Weber drove in two runs with a single in a three-run sixth.
Joey Mancuso added a run-scoring double.
In the second game, the Hawks rallied from a 4-1 deficit to score four runs in both the sixth and seventh innings. All eight runs were unearned with the benefit of three Springfield errors.
Jeremy Lufft posted three hits and drove in two runs with singles in the second and fourth.
Henry Weiler finished with two hits. Brandon Milkulka wrapped up the scoring with a two-run double in the seventh. Cargile (1-0) allowed four hits and two walks over 6.1 innings.
