Box Score Quincy held Rockhurst to one field goal in the final minutes to rally for a 79-74 victory on Jam the Gym and Alumni Night Thursday at Mason-Halpin Field House.
Rockhurst went on a 16-3 run to take a 64-58 lead with 7:11 left. Quincy closed the game on a 21-10 run to defeat the Hawks for the second time this season.

"We fought hard and played a good game for most of the night," said Rockhurst coach Drew Diener. "They hit some daggers late that hurt. We didn't play a great offensive game but hung in."

Austin Levan led the Hawks with 19 points on eight-of-16 shooting. Dominique Washington posted 17 points and seven rebounds. Adam Fatkin collected 12 points and 11 rebounds. Malachi Nix finished with eight points and six assists. Alex Hagan added seven points and 10 rebounds.
Rockhurst shot 40.3 percent from the field (27 of 67) and 63.0 percent from the foul line (17 of 27). The Hawks outrebounded Quincy, 48-38.
Quincy shot 45.3 percent from the field (29 of 64) and 65.0 percent on free thows (13 of 20). Herm Senor II paced Quincy with 18 points and six assists.
Rockhurst, 12-12 and 7-9 in the GLVC, will host Truman State on Saturday (February 20).
