Hawks meet Quincy on Jam the Gym, Alumni Night

The Rockhurst Hawks (12-11, 7-8 GLVC) host the Quincy Hawks (16-8, 10-5) in a Great Lakes Valley Conference West Division matchup at 7:30 p.m. Thursday (February 18) on Jam the Gym and Alumni Night at Mason-Halpin Field House.

"Quincy took it to us in our first meeting," said Rockhurst coach Drew Diener. "We competed, but didn't execute a great defensive game plan. They have a great inside game and also very good shooters. They are tough to stop. It takes great focus on every possession. We are still fighting for postseason positioning, which makes each game very meaningful."

The Hawks rank third in scoring defense (72.2), fourth in 3-point field goal percentage defense (32.4), sixth in assist/turnover ratio and sixth in field goal percentage defense (44.7) in the GLVC.

Dominique Washington came off the bench to score 25 points to carry Rockhurst to a 68-64 victory over Saint Joseph's Saturday at Mason-Halpin. Washington scored 19 points in the second half behind five-of-six 3-point shooting.
